Iran's attack on Israel can be considered a complete response to the Israeli authorities' attack on Iranian diplomatic facilities in Syria. This was announced on Saturday by Iran's permanent mission to the UN, TASS reported.
„This issue can be considered closed”, noted the page of the Iranian diplomatic mission on X (formerly Twitter). The Permanent Mission indicated that the launch of drones towards Israel was in response to the attack on Iranian diplomatic facilities in Damascus. However, he emphasized that in case of “another mistake” the Israeli authorities' response to Tehran will be “much tougher”.
On Saturday evening, the press service of the Israeli Defense Forces announced that Iran had launched drones from its territory towards Israel, the country is on high alert and tracking all targets. The Israeli military later said it had also recorded missile launches from Iran. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (elite units of Iran's armed forces) confirmed a massive attack on Israel using drones and missiles.
