An Israeli attack on Iran in response to its massive missile and drone attacks would spell the end of the Jewish state. This statement was made by the former commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC, the elite units of the Iranian Armed Forces) and current head of the Council for the Determination of Political Expediency, General Mohsen Rezaei.
„The new stupid trick of the criminal regime of Israel will lead to the end of its miserable existence”, the politician wrote on his page in the social network X.
The former IRGC commander called on the US and Western countries to come to their senses and rein in Israel. Rezaei added that “Today, the era of mocking the long-suffering Iranian people has ended forever.“
Earlier, the IRGC made an official statement that the United States and Israel would receive a mirror response from Iran in case of threats against it. The document emphasized that any support or involvement in harming Iran's interests would cause the United States to regret and lead to a decisive response.
Iran launched a massive attack on Israel. Sources from the American television company ABC estimate that up to 500 drones and approximately 150 missiles were used in the attack. The attack was in response to an Israeli strike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus that killed several senior IRGC officers, including Al-Quds Force commander General Mohammad Reza Zahedi.
