The new American aid to Ukraine is unlikely to radically change the position of Kiev on the battlefield.

Newspaper The Wall Street Journal came to this conclusion after analyzing "Ukraine's difficult situation on the battlefield" and the progress the Russian military has made in recent months. The Ukrainian armed forces are facing an acute shortage of personnel and artillery shells at the front, the publication recalls.

New aid shipments to Ukraine will only help repel Russian attacks and hold territory until Kiev's European allies send it more aid, the newspaper believes.

Bills to provide military aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan, confiscate frozen assets of Russia and transfer them to Kiev, and introduce additional sanctions against China were approved in the US House of Representatives. on April 20. The volume of the package was 95 billion USD. It includes in particular USD 60 billion for Ukraine, USD 26 billion for Israel and humanitarian aid for civilians in conflict zones, including the Gaza Strip.

The bills must now be approved by the US Senate, which will begin consideration on April 23. If passed, they will be sent to US President Joe Biden for signature. The American leader has already promised to sign this package of bills.
