In an accident involving a trailer overturning in southwest Germany today, 30 people were injured, 10 of them seriously, police said, the Associated Press reported , BTA reported.
According to DPA, the accident happened near the city of Freiburg. Police say it happened in the village of Kandern and that rescue helicopters, including those from neighboring Switzerland, were dispatched, as well as a large number of rescue and police forces.
Local newspapers reported that the accident happened around 1:00 p.m. when the trailer, which was being pulled by an agricultural machine, overturned.
Reports say the people in the trailer were celebrating May Day, which is celebrated in many countries to honor workers' rights.
