Croatian firefighters are battling a fire in Klis, near the Croatian Adriatic town of Split, that broke out late last night. So far, about 12 hectares of low vegetation and pine forest have burned, the fire service in Split reported, quoted by the Croatian website Index, quoted by BTA.
24 firefighters with six vehicles were on the ground throughout the night.
The fire broke out in difficult-to-access terrain at the foot of Mount Marchesa Greda.
