Attempts to involve Russia in a second peace summit for Ukraine are ultimatums that Moscow will not accept, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said, quoted by "Reuters", reports News.bg.
On Monday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he aims to present a ready-made plan in November that would allow Kiev to hold a second international peace summit. He indicated that representatives of Russia should also attend.
Delegations from 92 countries took part in the first summit in Switzerland last month. Russia, however, was not invited and dismissed the event as a waste of time.
The Russian deputy foreign minister said last week that Moscow would not attend a second summit, although the Kremlin was less emphatic in its position at the time.
