North Korean leader Kim Jong-un received a Russian delegation led by Deputy Defense Minister Alexei Krivoruchko at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party, reported CTAK. During the meeting, the two sides discussed military cooperation "to protect mutual interests in the field of security", reports News.bg.
Kim Jong-un expressed the "unwavering strong support and firm solidarity of the government and people of the DPRK" to Russia in connection with the military actions in Ukraine, the agency said. He also gave a salute to the army and people of Russia, who, according to him, are waging a just war in defense of the sovereign rights and security of the state.
At the meeting, Kim Jong-un recalled the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Pyongyang on June 18 and 19. He stressed that the armies of the two countries "must unite more firmly, vigorously stimulate Korean-Russian relations" and "to play an important role in the protection of regional and world peace and international justice".
