The ministry defines the training as routine combat training. During the exercise, two small anti-submarine ships, the "Onega" and "Naryan-Mar", practiced the organization of combat use of weapons and means of radio-electronic warfare in a scenario of a simultaneous air and sea attack.

„The day before, the small anti-submarine ships „Onega” and “Naryan-Mar“ performed training and combat tasks to cover an air attack of a conditional enemy”, the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

While practicing air defense, the warships fired at simulated air targets from anti-aircraft missile systems and ship guns, TASS added, quoted by "Reuters".
