Former US President Donald Trump published on social networks a fake image of pop star Taylor Swift, which calls on people to vote for him in the November elections, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
Trum's Sunday post on the social network "Truth Social" shows Swift dressed in red, white and blue with a caption that reads "Taylor Swift wants you to vote for Donald Trump”.
"I accept!”, Trump wrote.
Swift has not publicly endorsed a candidate in the 2024 race, but has supported Democrats in the past, according to Reuters.
The singer has endorsed President Joe Biden and 2020 vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris. Harris is set to be officially nominated as the 2024 Democratic nominee at the party's national convention in Chicago this week. Swift also criticized Trump in a 2020 documentary.
Taylor Swift fans and watchdog groups have said many of the images Trump has posted appear to be AI-generated fakes.
Advocates in the music industry, Hollywood and Washington are pushing for federal legislation and other measures to combat the explosion of fake AI images online.
Trump's post was "another example of the power of artificial intelligence to create disinformation,” said the consumer group Public Citizen.
Meanwhile, Trump said he would consider ending the $7,500 tax credit for buying electric cars, Reuters reported, citing BTA.
"Tax credits and tax incentives are generally not a very good thing," Trump told Reuters in an interview after a campaign event in York, Pennsylvania, when asked about the tax credit for electric cars.
If elected, Trump could take steps to change rules at the Treasury Department that have made it easier for automakers, or he could ask the US Congress to repeal them entirely. While president, Trump tried to repeal the electric car tax credit, which was later extended by President Joe Biden in 2022.
"I am not making any final decisions on this,”, Trump said of the electric vehicle tax credit. "I'm a big fan of electric cars, but I'm also a fan of gasoline-powered cars, and also hybrids and whatever else comes along.“
He added that he would reverse decisions by the Biden administration that would push manufacturers to produce more electric cars and plug-in hybrids to meet stricter emissions standards.
Trump also said that if elected, he would use the CEO of the company "Tesla" Elon Musk for a role in the cabinet or as a consultant, "if he would agree".
Last month, Musk publicly endorsed Trump in the presidential race.
Separately, Trump has sharply criticized Google, but declined to say what he thinks about the company's future after a judge ruled this month that the company is an illegal monopoly.
