South Korea's president may be arrested for treason

Legal action is possible regardless of the suspect's position, the Anti-Corruption Authority said

The Office for the Investigation of Corruption Crimes against high-ranking officials of the Republic of Korea admits that the country's president Yun Seok-yeol may be arrested on charges of sedition (treason).

This is reported by agency Yonhap.

„Legal measures are possible regardless of the suspect's position,” said a representative of the department. Earlier, police and prosecutors opened an investigation against the president after receiving allegations of martial law.
