The talks between Russia and Ukraine scheduled for today on the war in Ukraine have been moved to the second half of the day at the initiative of the Turkish side. This was announced by the spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, quoted by “Reuters“, reports BTA.

It was initially announced that the talks at the “Dolmabahce“ Palace in Istanbul would begin at around 10:00 a.m. local time (coinciding with Bulgarian time).

“Our delegation is in Istanbul, its composition is known and the relevant information has been disclosed by the Kremlin. The talks have been postponed to the second half of the day at the initiative of the Turkish side“, said Zakharova, quoted by TASS.

Earlier, she indicated that the Russian delegation, led by President Vladimir Putin's advisor Vladimir Medinsky, was prepared for “serious negotiations“.
