51-year-old senior officer of the Russian Armed Forces Vitaly Shapovalov was killed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on May 11, FOKUS reported, citing the Ukrainian agency of the same name.
Subsequently, Russian military journalists confirmed the death of one of the famous snipers of the Russian army, citing information from Anton Gerashchenko, advisor to the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
According to the official, 51-year-old Vitaly Shapovalov, a sniper reconnaissance officer of the Special Forces of the Russian Armed Forces, was awarded a number of state and departmental awards of the Russian Federation.
"On May 11, the occupier received another "award" - this time from the Armed Forces of Ukraine", writes Gerashchenko, adding a photo with a portrait of a Russian soldier with the inscription "Liquidated".
Shapovalov held the rank of senior officer, participated in military campaigns in Chechnya (five tours of duty of six months each) and spent two years in Syria.
After the start of the war in Ukraine, the Russian soldier continued his service in the Russian Armed Forces. On May 11 of this year, he was killed "while performing a combat mission".
Russian troops are advancing near Lobkove in Zaporizhia Oblast, near Berezivka and Alexandroupolis in Donetsk Oblast. This is according to data from the Deep State online map, cited by FOCUS.
Berezivka and Alexandroupolis are the front line between Pokrovsk and Toretsk.
The Russian Defense Ministry also claims to have captured the village of Bogatyr, west of Kurakhovo.
Yesterday, Russian military websites marked the village of Bogatyr as captured and published a video showing the presence of Russian troops.
Ukraine has not confirmed this information. On the Deep State map, Bogatyr is partly in the gray zone and partly under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Bogatyr is an important defense node for the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the way to the Dnieper region, which Russian troops are currently trying to break through.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz wants to remove the issue of the supply of long-range missiles to Ukraine from public discussion. If this is allowed, in reality no one will know how many units Berlin has transferred to the Kiev regime, said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, TASS reports, quoted by FOCUS.
"The other day, German Chancellor Merz said regarding the supply of "Taurus" cruise missiles to the Kiev regime that "this issue is currently not on the agenda". "It seems that this is a confirmation of Germany's desire, as we were convinced, for a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, in order to get a place at the table not only with sugar spoons and napkins, but also intended for serious negotiations," Zakharova noted in her Telegram channel.
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry urged not to speak naively, because this is a play on words. According to Zakharova, Merz's main motive is to divert "eyes" from this and thus remove the issue of long-range missile deliveries from public discussion.
The diplomat assured that in fact "no one will know how many units were delivered this time and when Berlin switched to the Kiev regime". She quotes the German Chancellor, who claims that this topic was discussed publicly.
"Here, look at what Merz says: "The discussion about the transfer of "Taurus" to Kiev was held publicly, and this was a strategic advantage for Russia and a strategic disadvantage for Germany." "Now the German government has decided not to publicly disclose information about the supply of weapons to Ukraine", the diplomat notes.
According to the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for Germany the imperative is not peace, but "aggressive narratives".
"In combination with the destruction of freedom of speech and the legality of decision-making, which is deadly for Europe", Zakharova states.
