The Federal Air Transport Agency of Russia (Rosaviatsia) is holding talks with aviation authorities of many countries about the possibility of resuming international air traffic. This was announced by the head of the agency Dmitry Yadrov, quoted by TASS, reports News.bg.

“We are constantly working together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Economic Development on issues related to international flights“, Yadrov said. He added that many countries that had previously suspended flights are now ready to resume them.

According to Yadrov, Russian airlines are prepared to operate flights to certain countries, but they need guarantees that their aircraft will receive the necessary maintenance and will not be affected by sanctions restrictions.

Currently, it is possible to fly from Russia without connecting flights to 38 countries, 17 of which are served by domestic and foreign airlines.
