Ukrainian drones attacked Moscow, several airports stopped working

Russia's air defense shot down 77 drones between 8 p.m. and midnight

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced on his Telegram channel the destruction of 13 drones flying towards the capital.

"Emergency services are working at the site of the fallen debris".

Air defense forces have repelled an air attack on the Tula region. Debris from a Ukrainian drone fell in the city, but there were no casualties, Governor Dmitry Milyaev announced.

The regional governor noted that emergency services specialists were working at the scene and the situation was under control.

Milyaev stressed that the danger of a drone attack in the region remained and urged residents to observe safety measures.

Temporary restrictions on landing and takeoff of aircraft have been introduced at Moscow's Vnukovo Airport, Rosaviatsia announced.

„Temporary restrictions on landing and takeoff of aircraft have been introduced at Vnukovo Airport from 02:04 Moscow time,“ the statement said.

In addition, restrictions remain in force at the capital's Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports, as well as at the Vladimir, Kaluga and Ivanovo airports.

An hour earlier, work also stopped at Tambov airport.

Last night, air defense systems shot down 77 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions from 20:00 to 23:50 Moscow time on May 21, 9 of which were over the Moscow region.

42 of them were destroyed over the territory of the Kursk region, 14 over the territory of the Belgorod region, 9 over the territory of the Moscow region, 8 over the territory of the Oryol region, 2 over the territory of the Kaluga region, one drone was shot down over the territories of the Ryazan and Tula regions“, the Ministry of Defense reported.
