The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), dominated by Kurdish factions and supported by the US, are applying “delaying tactics“ despite the agreement reached with the new Syrian government on their integration into the regular armed forces of the country. This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, quoted by “Reuters“, reports News.bg.
Erdogan stressed the need to preserve the unity and territorial integrity of Syria, insisting that the agreements between the SDF and Damascus must be implemented in accordance with the previously agreed timetable.
“We said earlier that we welcome this agreement. But we see that the Syrian Democratic Forces continue to apply their delaying tactics. "They must immediately stop this behavior," the Turkish leader said.
