As a result of Iran's retaliatory strikes, Israel is likely to suffer losses that will be different from those to which Israelis are accustomed. This warning was issued by the Chief of the General Staff of the Jewish state, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir.
His statement was published on the Telegram channel of the Israel Defense Forces.
"Citizens of Israel, I cannot promise absolute success - the Iranian regime will try to attack us in response, and the expected losses will be different from those to which we are accustomed," Zamir said. He noted that the Israeli army is ready to defend the country, but citizens must take care of their own safety and the safety of their loved ones and listen to instructions.
He stressed that anyone who tries to provoke Israel will have to pay a "high price".
Meanwhile, a new explosion has been heard at a nuclear facility in the Iranian city of Natanz, state television IRIB reported.
"A third explosion was heard minutes ago at the Shahid Ahmadi Rosha nuclear site," the statement said. It did not specify what damage was caused to the facility. IRIB also published a photo showing a large cloud of black smoke.
