A series of powerful explosions exploded over the central part of the Iranian capital, air defense systems were activated.
According to reports in the Iranian media, an attack by Israeli drones on various areas of Tehran is being repelled.
The Israeli armed forces have registered the launch of missiles from Iranian territory.
"We have registered the launch of missiles from Iran towards Israeli territory. Defense systems are working to intercept the threat," the army press service reported.
It was earlier reported that sirens sounded in several areas of Israel after missiles were detected. The population is urged to follow instructions.
