The Israeli military ordered a new evacuation this morning in some parts of the Iranian capital, Tehran - hours before the ceasefire between Israel and Iran announced by US President Donald Trump takes effect, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.
In a Persian-language post on the "Ex" platform, the Israeli army warned residents of two neighborhoods in Tehran early this morning of upcoming airstrikes and distributed maps showing the areas that will be affected.
Earlier, the Israeli military also called on residents of another area in the Iranian capital to evacuate. Since then, new explosions have been reported in Tehran.
The new evacuation order came shortly after Trump announced that a "complete and total" ceasefire between Israel and Iran would begin within hours. In a post on his social media platform "Truth Social", the US president said the ceasefire was aimed at ending the war.
According to the agreement, Iran would be the first to observe the ceasefire, followed by Israel, and if both sides adhere to the terms, the war could be ended in 24 hours, Trump wrote.
Israel and Iran have yet to make official comments on the US president's post.
Early this morning, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that there was no "agreement" for any ceasefire between Israel and Iran, Reuters reported, citing his post on the "Ex" platform, BTA reported.
Araghchi added, however, that if Israel stops its "illegal aggression" against the Iranian people no later than 4 a.m. this morning Tehran time (00:30 GMT), then Iran has no intention of continuing to respond.
"As of now, there is NO "agreement" for a ceasefire or military operations," Araghchi wrote, quoted by DPA. "However, provided that the Israeli regime stops its illegal aggression against the Iranian people no later than 4 a.m. morning Tehran time, we have no intention of continuing with our response after that," the Iranian foreign minister added.
"The final decision on the cessation of our military operations will be taken later," Araghchi added.
