The President of Belarus urged Moldova not to rush into the European Union, as no one is waiting for Chisinau there.

„My advice to you from an ancient politician: do not rush into any alliances, no one is waiting for you anywhere. You saw how the Europeans loved Ukraine, for example. As soon as Ukraine asked to deliver grain through the European Union last year, they began to block it. They did not allow it to be transported. Ukraine could not even deliver this grain to Africa. According to the information we received“, said the Belarusian leader at a meeting in Minsk with former President of Moldova, Chairman of the Socialist Party Igor Dodon.

The head of state also expressed doubt that Moldova is expected in the EU. "Do you think Moldovans are expected to have special relations there? The same will happen with your agricultural products, wine, etc.," BelTA Agency quoted Lukashenko as saying.

“When you were president, you already went through all this. I remember when you had to cut a window back here to the east - to Belarus, Russia - so that the people of Moldova could live. Therefore, my advice to you is: value your land, there is no more beautiful corner of the world than Moldova. I have thought so since Soviet times“, the Belarusian president noted.

He also said that during Soviet times he had visited Chisinau and other cities many times. “Very beautiful, very kind, very respectable people. And I really would like there to be fewer problems there. "If something depends on us, both in this situation and in the future, say it, we will be next to our friends," Lukashenko assured.
