Last night between 9:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. local time, Russian air defense forces destroyed 48 Ukrainian drones

One civilian was killed and six were injured in a Ukrainian drone attack on the southern Russian city of Belgorod, Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov announced on Telegram tonight, quoted by BTA.

"Belgorod was attacked by enemy drones… A civilian was killed", Gladkov wrote. He added that six people were injured in the attack. "According to the medical assessment, the condition of all the injured is moderately serious. "All necessary assistance is being provided," the governor of the Belgorod region noted.

Meanwhile, the Defense Ministry in Moscow said that between 9:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. local time last night, Russian air defense forces destroyed 48 Ukrainian drones, Reuters added. The defense ministry's statement said that 29 of the drones were intercepted over the Belgorod region and another 16 - over the Bryansk region.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin later announced that three Ukrainian drones flying towards the Russian capital had been shot down. Sobyanin's statement, published on Telegram, made no mention of casualties or material damage.

Leningrad Region Governor Alexander Drozdenko warned of the danger of drone attacks. "Attention, a danger of unmanned aerial vehicles has been declared in the airspace of the Leningrad region", Drozdenko wrote on "Telegram".

Air defense forces have intercepted several drones in the sky over the Voronezh region, and there are no reports of casualties so far, regional governor Alexander Gusev said. He added that the danger has not yet passed.

During the war, Moscow and Kiev have often accused each other of attacks on civilians. Both the Russian and Ukrainian armies deny striking civilian targets.
