Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko gave an interview to an American media outlet, the publication of which is not scheduled for August. This was reported by the Belarus-1 TV channel and TASS.

Earlier, the BelTA agency reported that Lukashenko gave an interview to one of the most famous world publications.

The names of the media outlet and the interviewer have not yet been disclosed. This was a request from the media itself in order to preserve the exclusivity of the material.

According to the First Information TV channel, the interview is not expected to be published until August.

According to the "Pool of the First" Telegram channel, close to the presidential press service, the main topics of the interview include: the peace process between Russia and Ukraine; Belarusian-American negotiations; Belarus' multi-vector policy; the special military operation; the "West 2025" exercises; nuclear weapons and the "Oreshnik" missile system, as well as whether Lukashenko will have a new presidential term and what kind of person the head of state sees after him.

As previously reported by the press secretary of the President of Belarus Natalia Eismont, Lukashenko spoke with the journalist for more than 2.5 hours.

"It was in the format of a classic interview. Then the conversation continued in an informal format. That is, a three-hour, extremely frank conversation. Both frank and meaningful," BelTA agency quotes her as saying.

We recall that Lukashenko is often criticized by the West for his failure to respect human rights and repression of the opposition.
