Serious damage was caused as a result of a massive Russian drone strike against the railway infrastructure and the railway station in the town of Lozovaya, Kharkiv region. A fire also broke out at the site. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) publishing photos of the consequences of the attack, reports News.bg.
According to the service, several objects of the transport infrastructure were hit. “There were six outbreaks of fire. Administrative, production, warehouse and other buildings were burning, including the roof of the railway station“, the statement said.
According to preliminary data, it has been confirmed that one railway employee was killed and four others were injured. The total number of casualties from the attack is ten.
The Russian side has not yet commented on the strike.
The town of Lozovaya is a key railway junction in eastern Ukraine, a likely reason for its selection as a target. Strikes on civilian infrastructure, including transport facilities, are part of a broader Russian strategy in the region.
