Vladimir Saldo: Kiev can promise not to join NATO in a peace agreement, but will it keep it...

This is what happened with the Minsk agreements, the governor of the Kherson region pointed out

Ukraine can promise not to join NATO in a peace agreement, but Russia must be ready for its violation. This was stated in an interview with TASS by the governor of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo.

„Ukraine can promise us that it will not violate the peace agreement. But this does not mean that it is 100%. Therefore, we still need to be ready for any scenario“, he said, answering a question about the possibility of a non-aligned status for Ukraine.

Saldo recalled the situation with the Minsk agreements, which were supposed to be aimed at a peaceful resolution of the conflict.

“But all this later, as the leaders of Western countries themselves admitted, turned out to be a special diplomatic move to stall for time, arm Ukraine, anger the people with various actions and unleash a conflict in Donbas“, the governor explained.
