ERM Zapad launched a large-scale project of key importance for the capital's electricity security – the replacement of the 110 kV "Totleben" cable. It is part of Sofia's critical infrastructure and provides electricity to 150,000 households and business customers from 12 metropolitan districts, including state institutions, hospitals, production and office buildings, the tram and trolleybus network of urban transport, etc.
ERM Zapad will invest nearly BGN 4 million in the replacement of the cable. As a result, the risk of accidents will be reduced and the period for their removal will be significantly shortened.< /p>
Implementation is expected to last until the end of September 2024. The activities will not cause power disruptions to customers. The moment for carrying out the key repair has been selected so that it works during the active holiday period.
ERM Zapad has taken the necessary measures for the subcontractors who will implement the project to minimize the inconvenience for citizens. For this purpose, the route is divided into parts and the repair will take place in several stages. The route passes through the regions of Vazrazhdane, Krasno Selo and Triaditsa.
The cable replacement activities are coordinated with the Metropolitan Municipality, Sofia Water, Toplofikatsia-Sofia and other utility service providers. Contact is maintained with the mayors of the regions through which the cable route passes.
