SpaceX launched a Falcon-9 carrier rocket with satellites for the needs of the US National Military Space Reconnaissance Office (NUVKR).
The launch of the rocket as part of the NROL-153 mission took place at 10:54 p.m. along the East Coast from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. SpaceX is expected to carry out at least four more such launches in 2025 to fulfill the tasks of American intelligence.
The activities of NUVKR, which controls American reconnaissance satellites, are top secret. The parameters and descriptions of the devices are not disclosed.
