Kazakhstan authorities intend to launch direct flights to the US at the end of next year, reported by the press service of the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan.
According to her information, the head of the department Marat Karabaev discussed the opening of this direction at a meeting in Montreal with the leadership of the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
„The parties agreed to make every effort to start direct flights between the two countries and discussed issues of timely delivery of aircraft and getting a slot. Thus, it is planned to launch direct flights to the USA at the end of 2025. The flights are expected to be operated with a frequency of 2 times a week, the announcement said.
It was noted that in parallel, from August 26 to August 30 in Astana, FAA experts began work on preliminary aviation safety assessment (IASA) to obtain category 1 (CAT1), necessary for the launch of direct flights between Kazakhstan and the USA.
