Google development teams in the last few months have managed to create a new type of software that, based on AI technologies, is able to build “chains of reasoning“. It is noted that such programs are suitable for solving multi-step problems in the field of mathematics and computer programming, while they require only a few seconds to generate the best answer to the user's query.
The agency says the development marks a “new front in the rivalry between tech giant Google and fast-growing startup OpenAI” behind the ChatGPT language model. According to another Bloomberg source, some employees at Google DeepMind, the company's artificial intelligence division, are concerned that the company is falling behind OpenAI, which in September unveiled an o1 model that works in a similar way.
In 2023, Google introduced Gemini, a chatbot that can understand, summarize, process and combine different types of information, including text, code, audio, images and video. Earlier, Google developed an AI-based chatbot called Bard.
