The Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4SIM) at the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan organized a panel session “The impact of artificial intelligence: a new era of governance in the digital economy with technology forecasting“.
The panel discussion discussed the key role of artificial intelligence in the development of the digital economy and the impact of technological forecasting on the sustainability of economies.
The speakers paid special attention to the impact of artificial intelligence on the optimization of resources, forecasting economic crises and industrial restructuring.
The session also discussed the necessary framework for ensuring responsible and sustainable integration of artificial intelligence
"Each country should have a strategy for the development of artificial intelligence, in which the priority areas are identified," said Fariz Jafarov, executive director of the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the IV Industrial Revolution (4SİM) at the Ministry of Economy Fariz Jafarov .
Furthermore, he noted that AI cannot make decisions without human intervention: “It can be a team member in human decision-making, but it does not act alone. There are currently a number of discussions about artificial intelligence. As a government we observe "We believe that AI should not be controlled because then development will be limited. We are looking for ways to encourage startups, companies, organizations in the country to turn to artificial intelligence."
Google manager Olga Skrohodova noted that it is also necessary to focus on the responsibility that arises when using artificial intelligence.
„Artificial intelligence is just beginning to be used, and our company has formed and implemented principles for using AI, it must be useful and socially oriented, it must be tested before implementation. Monitoring is carried out to see how the company implements these principles,” said she.
