The total volume of deals concluded during the 15th Airshow China in Zhuhai (southern Guangdong Province), exceeded 280 billion yuan (US$39.4 billion), China Central Television reported.
During the six days of the exhibition, almost 600,000 people visited it. This year, China's exhibition focused on the multi-role stealth fighter J-35A (Jian-35A), the J-15T fighter and the Hongqi-19 surface-to-air missile, which were presented to the public for the first time. Airshow visitors could also see samples of moon rocks collected during the Chang'e-6 mission.
The star of the show was the Su-57E fighter jet in an export version, which was on display in an open area next to the airport. The participants in the exhibition had the opportunity to photograph the fighting machine and familiarize themselves with its characteristics. Its world premiere was during the opening of the exhibition on November 12.
This year, representatives from 47 countries and regions of the world took part in Airshow China in Zhuhai. Over 1,000 enterprises from China and other countries demonstrated their products. This year there were about 150 foreign exhibitors, which is almost double the number of the previous exhibition. The main topics of the air show are military and civilian aircraft, space, navigation and radar equipment, aviation weapons, rocket engines, fire control systems and air defense.
Since its establishment in 1996, Airshow China has become an important platform for the presentation of advanced aviation and space technology and equipment from China and abroad. The exhibition has also become a major international platform for promoting business cooperation in the field of aviation and space technology and equipment.
This year's air show was timed to coincide with the 75th anniversary of the founding of the PLA Air Force, which was celebrated in China on November 11.
