Spaghetti consumption has increased by 167% in one year, according to a study by one of the major food delivery companies. Orders for traditional Bulgarian dishes have increased by 87%, and fish specialties by 56%.
The trend of ordering more food from restaurants is increasing, which shows that Bulgarians are spending less and less time cooking at home.
Among the most common orders made are burgers, pizzas and salads.
Deliveries from supermarkets are also increasing. For the past year, the growth is nearly 50%, with the most ordered goods being bananas, water and bread.
The busiest day for orders is Saturday, and the most popular time is evening around 7:00 p.m.
It is interesting to note that over the past 12 months, deliveries from pet stores have increased 5 times, and flower deliveries by 70%.
