Ukraine's largest oil and gas company, Ukrnafta, has started importing gasoline from Germany, the company's press service reported on Facebook. ""Ukrnafta" gas station network "started selling gasoline from the Holborn Europa Raffinerie oil refinery (Hamburg, Germany)", the statement said.
In January 2025, "Ukrnafta" imported 1,500 tons of A-95 gasoline produced by Holborn. In 2024, the company imported gasoline from the Greek Hellenic Petroleum and Motor Oil Hellas and the Plock and Mazeikiai Orlen oil refineries. The company purchases diesel fuel in 15 countries around the world, in particular in Greece, Israel, Italy, the Netherlands, the USA, Sweden and Poland.
In November 2022, the share of "Ukrnafta", which belonged to the companies of Ukrainian businessman Igor Kolomoisky, was confiscated in favor of the state on the basis of the law adopted in September of the same year on the forced alienation of property of strategic importance for defense in conditions of war or emergency. Currently, the largest shareholder of Ukrnafta is the company "Naftogaz of Ukraine", which owns 50% plus 1 share. "Ukrnafta" is the operator of one of the largest Ukrainian gas station networks (544 stations).
