Relatives and friends of the murdered Peyo Peev are protesting. Their dissatisfaction comes after the Sofia Court of Appeal placed Gabriela Slavova, the accused in the case, under house arrest. The victim's relatives are demanding a fair trial and a harsh sentence for the perpetrators of the crime.
Gabriela Slavova asked to be released from custody to take care of her children. The reason for the determination of a lighter measure of remand was her deteriorating mental state, as well as her claims of past brain infarctions.
Relatives of the murdered Peyo, however, do not agree that the care of the children should be entrusted to their mother.
