A complete package of proposals for changes to the Law on School and preschool education, as well as for the online matriculation exams, will be proposed to the new National Assembly and to the possible regular cabinet from the Ministry of Education and Science.
This was announced in Varna by the Minister of Education Prof. Galin Tsokov, BNR reports. Tsokov took part in the conference "Comprehensive approach in preschool and primary school education", which takes place in the "Golden Sands" resort.
From next year, the studies of fourth-graders for reading and mathematical literacy will be on computers - this is a global trend, emphasized Prof. Tsokov and commented on the proposals:
"They affect different areas of education - from kindergarten, early childhood education and care, children at the age of 3, they also affect problems related to the qualification of pedagogical specialists, to career development, problems related to educational content and the curricula. We have developed a new vision for the curricula, which is related to them being oriented towards competences and skill formation. All international studies are done on a computer. From next year, the matriculation exams for fourth graders for reading literacy and math literacy will also be on computers, so this is a global trend.
