Varna became a military training ground, and the citizens were threatened and repressed. This was announced at a press conference by the municipal councilors from the "Vazrazhdane" group. in Varna, reported the press center of the formation. The Deputy Chairman of the Municipal Council in the seaside town Nikolay Kostadinov pointed out that the group of "Vazrazhdane" submitted a proposal for a decision by the Regional Council - Varna, with which the local parliament would not allow the construction of a NATO coordination center for the Black Sea in Varna.
"Such a center should not be built in the municipality of Varna! We from "Revival" we believe that Bulgaria has no place in this military conflict and we do not want our city to be a potential target.
All those who vote for the so-called Euro-Atlantic parties actually vote for the war, and those who vote for us vote for peace.", Kostadinov was categorical.
On the occasion of the frequent military convoys that pass through the territory of the municipality of Varna, the municipal councilor from "Vazrazhdane" Georgi Georgiev stated:
"It is no secret to anyone that Varna is turning into a military training ground. Every day we see military columns crossing the city and bothering the citizens and especially the tourists. At the beginning of the summer tourist season, instead of thinking of something interesting for visitors, Varna offers its guests military columns, fear and repression.
However, the incidents with the military convoy do not stop there. The press conference was also attended by Vasil Vassilev from Varna, who witnessed an interesting situation.
This is what Vassilev shared with the media in Varna:
"The case is from last Friday and the situation is playing out at the roundabout in the area of "Maksuda". It is a convoy of at least 67 NATO trucks escorted by military police.
The roundabout was closed by military police, except for the entrance through which the trucks had to pass. By coincidence, I happened to be the first car, and after seeing that I would not be able to pass soon, I got out of the car to smoke a cigarette.
The reaction of the military police patrol was manifested by speaking over a megaphone saying:
Everyone to hold their positions or they will be forced to open fire.
After this was heard over the megaphone, the other drivers got angry and started to get out of their cars. We asked them the question on what grounds someone would open fire against us, but we did not receive an answer," Vassilev said.
Fortunately, there was no accident and the blocked cars managed to pass through the congested section after a long wait.
"We are witnessing more and more unprecedented events in Varna and we are wondering if our health and security are not at risk, in view of the military conflict that is in Ukraine and whether Bulgaria will not be directly involved in it.", Nikolay Kostadinov added.
The municipal councilor from "Revival" Julian Gubatov also commented on the topic, pointing out that NATO is a repressive apparatus:
"In the program of “Revival“ a referendum to leave NATO is at stake, because NATO has become an American military organization that, instead of creating stability, creates military conflicts around the world. NATO is a repressive apparatus in which member states are anything but equal partners.
Democracy, which this military organization distributes in different parts of the world, is harmful to peace. NATO wants to turn the Balkans and Bulgaria into cannon fodder in a foreign military conflict in which Bulgaria has no place. We from “Revival“ we will not allow the creation of a command center on the territory of Bulgaria.
On 09.06. by choosing “Rebirth”, we choose peace. Choosing everyone else, we choose war".
Vazrazhdane is number 12 on the ballot
Buying and selling votes is a crime!
