Leaders from the Group of Seven most advanced economies in the world (G-7) have confirmed their intention to continue doing so , that Russia is paying a high price for its war in Ukraine by imposing sanctions, restricting its exports and other measures, and promised to continue supporting Kiev as long as necessary, Reuters reported, BTA reported.
„Russia remains the only obstacle to justice and lasting peace”, said today's joint statement, adopted “in support of Kiev on the occasion of the upcoming 1,000 days since the beginning of Russian military aggression against Ukraine”.

At the moment, Italy is the rotating chairman of the G-7, which also includes the USA, Canada, Japan, France, Germany and Great Britain.
„The G7 reaffirmed its commitment to continue to impose serious costs on Russia, through sanctions, export controls and other effective measures. We remain together with Ukraine”, the statement added.
