Bulgaria goes to 2 in 1 elections - for the European Parliament and for the 50th National Assembly. What is important to know before going to the polls?
And in these elections, voters have the choice to exercise their right to vote either by machine or by paper.
If you choose to use a machine, you will be given a card that you place in the slot indicated below the screen. After that, three options will appear - "Select all", "Elections for people's representatives" and "European Parliament Elections". It's important to know that if you want to vote for both choices and you only click on one choice, then you won't be able to go back and mark the "Select All" option if you have confirmed (you will be prompted to confirm the type selection) So you need to press "Select all" right on the first screen if you want to vote for both.
The parties will appear on the left, and on the right, if desired, you can vote preferentially for a specific candidate of your choice. The machine will print your ballots, it is important to wait for the beep before removing them from the machine. Then they are given for printing and put in the ballot boxes.
If you vote with a paper ballot you should also know a few important things.
The ballot for people's representatives will be in green - on the back and on the front of the face. The numbers of parties, coalitions and preferences are written in green on the ballot. Mandatory for voting with paper ballots, before voters vote in the preference circle, if they wish to support a particular candidate, they must vote in the box with the number of the party or coalition that nominated the candidate. If voting is done only in the circles - this makes the vote invalid. Voters must first vote in the box with the party or coalition number.
The MEP ballot is blue. In the elections for members of the EP, there is one list of candidates - 17 candidates, it is the same for the whole country and for voting outside the country.
Two stamps will be placed on the back of the ballots - the first when the ballot is pulled from the cob and the second before it is dropped into the ballot box.
