Children's playgrounds are attacked by reptiles - 1

Reptiles attacked Kyustendilsko, local authorities are looking for snake hunters. In one of the cases, a smoke was spotted on a children's playground in the village of Nikolichevtsi. According to the locals, it is quite normal for the reptiles to come down from the nearby moors to the village on these hot summer days.

Social media is full of posts about snakes and snakes being spotted in inner city areas. In Dupnitsa, for example, a reptile was filmed crawling around the city center, in the immediate vicinity of the municipality building. According to experts, it is a completely harmless water snake, but its size is startling for many, Nova TV reports.

In the Kyustendil village of Nikolichevtsi, the fire service was called a week ago. On a children's playground, local mothers saw a fig tree. However, according to the older residents of the village, this is not a terrible event at all.

In Kyustendil, work is already underway on how to keep snakes away from children. Devices are to be purchased to chase them from the playgrounds. "We are in the process of entering into a contract with a snake control company to install devices that guard against reptiles in playground and nursery areas where it is extremely important to ensure that there is no intrusion." ; said Ognyan Atanasov, mayor of Kyustendil.

About 50 devices will be provided. In the meantime, the municipality is trying to find a person who knows how to work with reptiles, there is none so far.

"Years ago, there was a person who was involved in this activity on a voluntary basis, but he is already at the limit age and unfortunately he apparently did not train any young person either, but we are in the process of looking for a person who can deal with this topic. Otherwise, we are currently transferring the signals to the fire department and we are grateful to them for responding – they have tongs to catch them, and although it is not their job, we are grateful to them for assisting us in this activity," Atanasov pointed out.

For now, there are no snakebites in Kyustendilsko.
