During the weekend, the mayor of Varna from PP-DB sent municipal police to fine the representatives of "Vazrazhdane" in Varna, who were handing out newspapers with the ideas of "Vazrazhdane" in the city center.
The municipal police, which were used by the mayor of PP-DB as a bludgeon, referred to an ordinance, but were unable to cite an article. They were unable to do so because there is no such article in the ordinance and the distribution of material with the ideas of "Vazrazhdane" does not fall under the prohibition of any regulatory act.
Today, the chairman of "Vazrazhdane" wrote a post on the social network, in which he said the following:
"Yesterday, the mayor of Varna from the PPDB sent police to fine members of the Revival Party distributing newspapers of “Vazrazhdane”. Amateur! When GERB was in power, we were directly arrested and beaten by the police and that didn't stop us, did this pitiful violation of the law scare us? Today I am going to the mayor of the PPDB to ask him for explanations for the arbitrariness he ordered.", wrote Kostadinov.
Shortly after that, representatives of "Vazrazhdane" visited the municipality of Varna to seek answers to their questions and to understand why the mayor is trying to repress the members of “Vazrazhdane". As expected, the mayor fled and hid from “Vazrazhdane" under the pretext that he was on vacation. They were welcomed in the municipality by deputy mayors who, like the mayor's thugs, tried to provoke excesses. The conversation between them and the representatives of "Vazrazhdane" was far from a good dialogue, and those in power today showed that they perceive Varna as a feudal territory, and the municipality as a barn in which they have settled.
After today, Kostadinov called on all Varna residents who want to take back their city to attend the session of the Municipal Council on February 27, at which the mayor and his administration will have to answer questions related to the pink fascism that they want to introduce in the Sea Capital. Kostadinov, in a video on Facebook, called on all citizens who may also fall under the repressions of the PP-DB tomorrow to attend the session of the Municipal Council - Varna with him.
