Simov: Change in the BSP must come - 1

„Since 2021, when we entered the spiral of elections, the results of the BSP are going down. One of the reasons for this is that the BSP publishes news only about intra-party disputes. From one moment on, only news about internal strife comes out, he commented in "This Saturday and Sunday". Alexander Simov.

He pointed out that he initially supported Cornelia Ninova after her election as party chairman:

„When she came in 2017, she brought good energy to the BSP. The BSP managed to choose its own candidate for president, found quite successfully, the mandate, direct election for leader. The problem at the end is that Cornelia Ninova is now in opposition to Cornelia Ninova at the beginning“.

„In 2017, Ninova said that only the leader should lead two lists. Then Stefan Danailov was the other. All the others led by one to concentrate in the regions. We reached the situation where seven people lead two lists in three consecutive elections. When a person starts to get into a contradiction, it is a sign that change must come, Simov also said.

In the studio of “This Sunday“ Ivan Takov recalled that Cornelia Ninova resigned for the third time.

„I expressed hope that it would be the last. So it turned out. The National Council met and elected an acting chairman of the BSP. This was a very important step to restore the dialogue in the party that had been broken. The party's collective organs were a rubber stamp. Now there is a request for unification”, he commented.

„My opinion since 2016 was that a person who is not a socialist cannot be at the head of the party. It is not about attacking and defending Nineveh. It's about the politics that led to the disastrous election results. Cornelia Ninova inherited a party with one million voters. Currently there are 150 thousand. A complete disregard for local structures was shown. There is no place for the former chairman of the Youth BSP in Gotse Delchev. Instead, Kornelia Ninova chose to enter from Blagoevgrad in order to have a place for the youth leader from the SDS (Kaloyan Metodiev - note ed.)“, pointed out Ivan Takov.
