Stefan Danailov does not deserve these low arguments about his monument. This was stated by Ivan Takov, chairman of the Local Coalition group "BSP for Bulgaria". in SOS, on the occasion of the dispute over the place where a monument to the actor, beloved by several generations of Bulgarians, will be placed.
"Lambo hated dirty arguments. He preferred to retire with dignity and keep calm, commented the chairman of the Local Coalition group "BSP for Bulgaria". in SOS. - Now, nearly 5 years after his death, we allowed ourselves to pollute his memory with an ugly scandal about where to immortalize him. Lambo is a bright person. We have no right to use it for such low strife.
According to Ivan Takov, the issue of placing a monument to Stefan Danailov is not subject to comment at all. "There is no doubt that there should be a monument, he is categorical. - And the place on which it will be placed must be chosen so that there is understanding and approval from everyone. Because Lambo was a public figure and was loved by people both as an artist and as a teacher at NATFIZ, and as a politician, and as a person".
According to the chairman of the Local Coalition group "BSP for Bulgaria" in the SOS kindergarten on "Velchova Zavera" square; at the Theological Seminary in Sofia, which from the fall of 2022 bears the name of Stefan Danailov, must be thoroughly renovated. "It is necessary to prepare a complete landscape project, to be implemented and for this place to be beautiful and pleasant for the residents of the capital to rest, comments Ivan Takov. - Lambeau was a connoisseur of beauty in everything, and the garden that bears his name must be aesthetically very well maintained.
Ivan Takov is adamant that it is time for the Ordinance on the naming and renaming of municipal objects, placement, relocation and removal of monuments and artistic elements on the territory of the Metropolitan Municipality to be changed in the part that refers to the Expert-Art Council. "This auxiliary body, which was created by the mayor Yordanka Fandakova, is actually a tool for the implementation of conjunctural ideological and political tasks, he commented. - This is a parasitic and completely unnecessary structure that unjustifiably usurps the functions of the commissions in the SOS and the directorates in the Metropolitan Municipality. They have enough competent experts who can make decisions on naming and renaming municipal objects and on placing, moving or removing monuments. It is unacceptable for an external auxiliary body to make decisions instead of the municipal councilors who are elected by the citizens of Sofia to represent them in the city parliament".
