“I have never had individual control over the deputies. We are an ideological party. We are united around the idea of fixing things in Bulgaria so that it is a nice and peaceful place to work and develop. What happened from day one though. is that Mr. Markov was late for the oath. He also told the reasons for this, after which we noticed a change in his behavior. And when he is the leader of this group, it is normal for the people inside to listen to him. It is normal for him to be responsible for the decisions that are made," Mihailov stressed.
"We were puzzled by a decision to select some commission where we voted with GERB and DPS. After asking for an explanation as to why it was voted this way, we were assured that it wasn't that way. And I was asked to apologize for offending the group. I apologised. But then I met with Colonel Nikolay Markov and Darin Georgiev, who is an MP from our group. They told me they were inclined to support a programmatic government. I told them that this would be a retreat from our ideas, he pointed out.
According to Mihailov, he has a recording in which members of "Velichie" they say they "will support a programmatic government". "I'm ready to send it to the media. I made the recording because there were threats against me that if the leadership of the party was not transferred to the colonel, I would be destroyed. Physically. The threats were made by Colonel Nikolay Markov himself. He told me that I would not find a place anywhere in the world. There were similar threats to other members of the party, including a deputy", he emphasized.
