" Boyko Borisov spoke to me personally about this. I have agreed to be a minister in an upcoming cabinet. This is a real cabinet, which if it goes to the plenary hall tomorrow, we may turn out to be kamikazets – we may be elected by a small majority without knowing how much time we have. If I am replaced by tomorrow and I am not a minister, there will be no problem for me".
This is what Delyan Dobrev from GERB said on bTV, quoted by novini.bg.
"Look, if someone says remove Delyan Dobrev so that we can support your cabinet, I will leave myself, because we are in such a situation that it is important to have a cabinet. We have a lot of work to do on important issues and it must continue. Our strategic goals will be easier to achieve if we have a regular cabinet," he said.
"Why don't we negotiate with the other parties, we actually have a negotiation team and we clearly understood that the other parties do not want to enter into a coalition with us. And no, I am not afraid to be a minister in this very cabinet. No matter what the horizon of this government is, it will still be able to get the job done", Dobrev believes.
"In order to keep a good tone, I will not now give you an example of trading MPs. We don't do that. For us, as well as for PP-DB, the Eurozone and Schengen are the most important. Colleagues should support us, 10 deputies are enough to vote for us. Borisov acted in a statesmanlike manner a year ago by supporting the mandate of the second party. Now it's time to "Continue the change-Democratic Bulgaria" to show understanding and support the cabinet. I am not asking anyone for cooperation, I just hope that they also have a statesmanlike behavior. Because they are the party that has the same strategic goals as us". he explained.
"With the DPS, we don't have enough votes, that's why we can't form a cabinet,", he emphasized.
And he added: "We are looking for wider support. Not that they have anything to do with DPS.
"Tomorrow everything will become clear. We aired a cabinet made entirely of bright political figures of GERB. You don't see DPS people anywhere, do you? The DPS just wants to have a stable cabinet," Dobrev announced.
"In my opinion, all the ministers were personally selected by Boyko Borisov, not by Delyan Peevski", he stressed.
"I have no idea whether there is a relationship between Kalin Stoyanov and Delyan Peevski, the problem with him happened because of Kiril Petkov, because Stoyanov did not want to appoint Petkov's person, he thinks. And he added that if the Minister of the Interior Stoyanov had appointed the person in question, there would not have been any problems and we would not have known about the bundles and the schemes.
