Vice President Iliyana Yotova will be a guest of the national meeting of the Karakachans in Bulgaria today. Traditionally, the assembly is held in the area "Karandila" near Sliven, BNR specifies.
The beginning of the 31st edition of the council will be given at 10.30 in the area of the so-called “Karakachan village“ on the meadow next to the "Miroloio" hut.
The celebrations will begin with a water light and a welcome from the official guests, among whom is the Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria Iliana Yotova.
Throughout the day there will be concerts by bands from the country and guests from Greece. Special guests are the Sliven Folk Song and Dance Ensemble and the choir of the Greek society "Odessos". - Varna.
The celebrations will end with the traditional merriment – Karakachan Glendy. The Federation of Cultural and Educational Societies of Karakachans in Bulgaria unites nine regional societies with approximately 15,000 members.
