The head of the RIA: The prosecutor's office has allowed us to start resurfacing the Telish-Radomirtsi section, where Siyana died - 1

We have permission from the prosecutor's office to start resurfacing the fatal Telish-Radomirtsi section, where 12-year-old Siyana lost her life. This was stated in the “Interview in NOVA News” by the chairman of the "Road Infrastructure" Agency; Eng. Yordan Valchev.

According to him, the Road Agency received an official letter with permission from the state prosecution three days ago. "Everything that needs to be done to make this section safe has been done. All that remains is the re-asphalting, for which we already have permission", he emphasized.
And he was categorical that on this section, if drivers comply with the speed limits - he does not expect any accidents.

Valchev also commented on the measures that will be taken to avoid traffic jams in Kresna. "The load in the Kresna Gorge on one lane allows about 1400-1600 cars to pass in only one lane. When we enter the settlement - Kresna, because of the many intersections, restaurants and shops - the number of cars drops to about 800. The pedestrian walkway in the city center is the most congested. If regulation is made there, we assume that we can achieve an improvement in traffic," he explained.

And he emphasized that the solution to the problem is the construction of the Kresna bypass. According to him, construction will begin in the fall, but this bypass is not easy at all. The reason - there are viaducts, a tunnel and it will not be possible to do it until next summer.
As for the repairs of the "Trakia" motorway, he explained that the asphalting was completed on time, and in some places even earlier. "We made a compromise that we stopped some of the repairs earlier. We could have repaired another 10 km near Pazardzhik, but because of the promise to the tourism industry, we did not close the last section in the city area," explained Valchev.
