"The CEC cannot decide which of the two applicants has more right to represent the DPS brand, so it is turning to the court. According to the Electoral Code, if the decision of the Supreme Administrative Court rejects that of the CEC, it must take effect. Thus, the Commission must decide whether to register the formation whose application was rejected. The deadline is up to 35 days before election day - there is enough time, she pointed out.
She also commented on the disputes between Cornelia Ninova and Atanas Zafirov regarding the leadership of the BSP. "If all the documents submitted to the CEC are in order, the BSP should receive registration. Even if there are documentary gaps, they can be filled, there is time for this. From here, we have to see who will line the party lists and what debates there will be. If the Congress of the BSP says that Ninova will be the chairman, this has nothing to do with the registration of the formation for the elections", comments Lazarova.
