Preparation for the early parliamentary elections is proceeding normally. This was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the CEC, Rositsa Mateva, quoted by Nova TV. At the moment, 19 parties and 6 coalitions have submitted documents for participation in the vote. 9 parties have already been registered, and the documents of the others are being checked. Two coalitions were rejected. Mateva clarified that after the CEC refused to register the two coalitions that included the DPS party yesterday, the Commission received an application for registration of the DPS party for independent participation. „After this application, eight more documents have been received so far from the two representatives of the party, withdrawing or confirming the actions of the respective representative. The signature is being checked by GRAO and the CEC will make a decision after all the relevant documents are collected and the signature is returned to us,”, the Deputy Chairman of the CEC clarified. The Commission emphasized that they are not delaying and the procedure is the same for everyone.
A comment was also made in connection with the submitted documents for the registration of the BSP by Georgi Svilenski and Ivan Chenchev, authorized by Cornelia Ninova. This happened before the Supreme Court of Cassation ruled that Atanas Zafirov should be registered as a legal entity. chairman of the party and its representative, and Ninova removed from these functions. “The dossier and documents related to the registration have not been processed, because the signature presented by them is in GRAO for verification,”, explained Mateva. A request has been received from Zafirov to withdraw the documents submitted by the authorized persons from Ninova. “When the signature is returned from GRAO, the Commission will make its decision”, the deputy chairman of the CEC also indicated.
