The CEC makes its decisions in accordance with the provisions of the law, and not under political pressure. There is no way for the CEC to refuse the acceptance of documents. It's as if someone is trying to create distrust in the work of this body.
This was stated before the BNR by Camelia Neikova, chairperson of the CEC.
"For myself, I can say that in no way, not only for this election, but also back in time, no one has tried or put pressure on the way I vote. None of the other colleagues also shared that they were influenced. Many things were written and said in the public space – unfortunately, a large part - unfaithful, who violate the trust in the work of the CEC. It's as if someone is trying to create distrust in this authority.
CEC is not influenced by decisions of politicians, political parties and coalitions. The problems that arise within the political entities themselves must be resolved within the parties themselves. Nobody can expect us to make their decisions.
She commented on the possibility that successive appeals before the court could change the registration picture regarding the brand "DPS".
"Everything is possible for the court to decide when considering a complaint. When it issues a decision that changes someone's registration, the CEC must implement it.
Neikova pointed out in the show "Nedelya 150" that the coalition around Victoria Vasileva did not meet the required number of signatures to participate in the elections on October 27.
"The signatures are submitted on paper, which contains written names, social security number and handwritten signature of the voter who supported this political entity to participate in the elections.
"A political party with two chairmen who represent the party jointly and severally, i.e. have fully equal rights to submit applications that are contrary. This internal party issue must be resolved within the party itself. The CEC has neither the right nor can interfere in its resolution. There is no way for the CEC to refuse the acceptance of documents".
Thus, Kamelia Neikova explained that she and her colleagues are facing an unprecedented situation regarding what is happening in the DPS.
Kameliya Neikova also indicated that the CEC held a meeting with the management of the BNB furnace.
"We were again assured that the paper met those requirements that the machine manufacturer had set so that the printers would run smoothly".
Tomorrow - 15.09, the CEC and the six ministers to whom the Council of Ministers has assigned functions for the organization of the elections, will discuss the government's ideas for conducting a transparent vote. Some of them were already announced in a letter to the media.
"The manner in which the proposals were first publicly circulated and then submitted to the CEC is strange. The bodies must talk to each other.
Some of the proposals have already been made by the CEC during previous elections, such as keeping a register of the seals that are placed on the different compartments of the machine, and not just on the compartment where the flash memories are, Kamelia Neikova pointed out .
