Sociologist Marcela Abrasheva commented on the ballots in October and the election campaign in the program “The Live Day” on NovaNews.
She analyzes the inclusion of mayors in the race for parliament as follows: “If we judge by the explanation of GERB, among the mayors there are people who have proven themselves and therefore could be the new political figures at the national level. We don't need old or new faces, but competent ones," the sociologist pointed out.
Abrasheva also commented on the situation in PP-DB. According to her, the problem in the coalition is not the electoral lists, but the absence of a clear political message. Abrasheva pointed out that there are people who “showed them a yellow card” of the previous vote, and if the PP-DB intends to attract them back, they must also send the necessary messages to them.
„BSP is in a complicated situation. It was clear that it would be difficult to find a general formula for making lists. In addition, there is no visible political message to those who are not traditional supporters of the party”, the sociologist explained.
Abrasheva is of the opinion that voter turnout will be higher. “What we call a protest vote is not exactly one. This is disappointment and apathy, the expert believes. The sociologist said that we are far from a stable majority to rule the country.
