The ministry notes that Israel has recognized this danger, but has nevertheless continued with the attack, "which will almost inevitably provoke another outbreak of violence". As a result, Israel bears full responsibility for any subsequent escalation, the ministry added.
We call on Israel to immediately cease hostilities. "This will end the bloodshed and create conditions for finding a political and diplomatic solution," the statement said.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi indirectly condemned the escalation between Israel and "Hezbollah", DPA points out.
"Fighting has started again in Lebanon, but force cannot replace justice" Wang Yi said in a speech at the United Nations General Debate in New York, just hours after it was confirmed that Hassan Nasrallah had been killed in an Israeli airstrike. The minister did not specifically mention Israel.

He was referring to the meeting in Beijing in July, when a total of 14 Palestinian groups, including rival factions "Hamas" and "Fatah", signed a declaration to strengthen Palestinian unity with the aim of forming a unity government.
