As of this moment, no candidacy for the chairman of the Supreme Administrative Court has been received ( SAC), reported at the meeting of the Plenum of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) Boyan Magdalinchev. He recalled that this is the first meeting at which nominations can be made, and there are three more that allow this opportunity.
On October 8, the Judicial College of the SJC adopted a schedule for conducting the procedure for the election of the President of the SAC, according to which the election should take place on March 20.
The mandate of the current chairman of the SAC, Georgi Cholakov, expires at the end of November.
BTA recalls that the procedure for the election of the chief prosecutor is also underway. The only nomination is for i.f. chief prosecutor Borislav Sarafov. According to the schedule, the election should be held on January 16.
